How this works
The blue symbols are examples for C02 generation through traffic. The grey symbols are examples for C02 conservation through recycling.
Select a unit of distance, or amount from the dropdown and the amount of generation or conservation will be calculated.
Global warming and ozone depletion
A catalyst is splitting ozone into oxygen
CL + O3 → CLO + O3
CLO + O2 → CL + 2 O2
Since the chlorine radical is regenerated at the end of these reactions, it is a homogeneous catalyst and a single Cl atom which can destroy many thousands of ozone molecules.
