Our Partnerships

Mutually beneficial partnerships are a crucial element in any business aiming at long-term growth and sustainability. Interwaste strives to initiate and nurture such partnerships wherever possible.

Partnerships with our customers, advising on and enabling more efficient and cost effective management of their waste before Interwaste takes responsibility for it. This includes waste recovery and re-use opportunities which can result in reduced revenue for Interwaste, but results in more enduring, trusting long-term relationships.Partnerships with our suppliers, supporting and encouraging the design and supply of superior goods and materials. Innovative equipment designs have been developed by our engineering partners as a result of specific Interwaste project requirements.

Community Empowerment

Partnerships with the community, enabling self-sustaining SMME ventures through the transfer of business skills and the provision of start-up resources.

An example of this type of venture is when Interwaste implemented an initiative to create employment for members of the previously disadvantaged community of the Sappi village at Ngodwana, Mpumalanga.Interwaste provided plant, equipment and working capital to a black female member of the community to enable her to initiate a waste recycling operation in the local area. Her business has flourished and she currently employs five people in what is now a profitable, sustainable business operation.
