The Heirarchy flows as follows:

| WASTE REUTILISATION The recovery and reutilisation of valuable resources from various waste streams. |
| WASTE TREATMENT The treatment of waste to reduce volumes and allow for the reclassification of certain hazardous waste streams. |
| WASTE DISPOSAL The environmentally safe, cost effective disposal of waste. |
